Short Mat Bowls Club

Every Wednesday afternoon, starting usually at 3pm until 5pm.

We have two mats, one seems to play a little faster than the other one. A ’ blocker ‘ is placed midway down the length of each mat and the player must guide their bowl around the obstruction to try to get near the ‘Jack’, which is a small yellow solid ball. The idea of the game is to get as many of your  teams bowls as near to the ‘jack’ to score points.

We have two games during the session, stopping for a cup of tea or coffee at 4pm.

We pay £3 per person, the funds going to the club and also towards the cost of the refreshments.
